Ameliora's signature shirting is a 72% nylon polyamide, 28% elastane (Lycra®) weave, engineered in partnership with an Italian mill known for performance fabrics rather than fashion fabrics. It's what gives The Dee its particular hand-feel: smooth and substantial rather than thin or slippery, with a four-way stretch that recovers its shape instead of sagging out by afternoon. The weave is dense enough to stay opaque under office lighting and airy enough to breathe through a full day of wear.

Behind the Fabric
Every Ameliora shirt starts with the same question: what does a woman actually need her clothing to do? The answer led us to an Italian mill that builds performance fabrics, not fashion fabrics — a 72% nylon polyamide, 28% elastane weave engineered for four-way stretch, wrinkle recovery, and a hand-feel substantial enough for daily wear.
We didn't set out to make luxury clothing. We set out to make clothing that works as hard as you do, and it turned out that's its own kind of luxury.

Questions We Hear Often
Yes. Our Italian stretch shirts are made to go straight into the washing machine on cold and lay flat to dry. No dry cleaning, no special care.
It's designed to move with you and bounce back to its original shape wash after wash, so you get a polished, tailored look without the stiffness of traditional woven fabric.
Not the way you'd expect. The stretch construction resists creasing, so you can pull it from your bag or dryer and wear it as-is.
